Oh, how I love the story of the women walkers. I found a wonderful driftwood piece on the beach that I now use as my walking stick. I hope your ankle heals quickly xo

What a wonderful story. It reminded me of my teenage years. At 16, I was invited to travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco to hear Rev. Billy Graham in person at an inter-faith conference. Days before departure, I sprained my ankle and took to crutches. 🩼 Frustrated but determined, I went anyway. As my friends walked miles and miles to the pier, to the chocolate factory, I stayed at the hotel elevating my foot. I sat in the lobby next to two nuns. Similar to your hike, they shared wisdom to last a lifetime.

Love this post. How much do we miss when we rush through life (and ironically we rush because we want to see and do more)? The story of the older Cascade hikers is so sweet.

Sometimes when I’m on my crow walk, l’ll be checking my phone. Those are the times the crows swoop past my face, brushing my hair or neck with their wings. They want attention and it’s a great reminder to put my phone away and just “be.”

Hope the ankle feels better soon.
